ΔABC ∼ΔDEF, Area of ΔABC = 64Cm2 and area of ΔDEF = 121 cm2, If EF = 15.4cm then find
BC.
OR

In ΔABC, DE∥BC, AD = x+1, DB = x – 1, AE = x+3 and CE = x, find x.

as we know thwt when two triangles are the similar then the ratio of area of two triangles is equal to ratio of square of corresponding sides.

therefore.

area (ABC)/area(DEF)= (bc/ef)^2

bc/ef = root64/root121

bc/ef= 8/11

bc/15.4=8/11

bc= 15.4×8/11

bc= 11.2

hope it helps.
