∆ABC~∆DEF if area of ∆ABC =9cm^2 area of ∆DEF =16cm^2 and BC,=2.1cm find the length of EF.

muskan0291: pls solve fastly it's urgent
masterminku712: Ratio of areas of two similar triangle is equal to the square of ratio of their corresponding sides..... arABC/arDEF=(BC/EF)^2 9/16=(2.1/EF)^2 3/4=2.1/EF EF=(4×2.1)/3 EF=2.8cm

Given...✍
=========
=====

∆ABC ~ ∆DEF

Also...

Area of ∆ABC = 9 cm²

and Area of ∆ DEF = 16 cm²

We have to find the length of EF

Now...

∆ABC ~ ∆DEF

So,

Area of ∆ABC ÷ Area of ∆DEF = BC² ÷ EF²

9 ÷ 16 = (2.1)² ÷ (EF)²

√9 ÷ √16 = 2.1 ÷ EF

3 ÷ 4 = 2.1 ÷ EF

EF = [4 × 2.1] ÷ 3

EF = 2.8 cm
