To find: Area of traingle DEF=x

Solution: Since traingle ABC~DEF

therefore,

Area of traingle ABC/Area of traingle DEF=BC/EF^2

=> 54/Area of traingle DEF=141^2

=> Area of traingle DEF =(54×16/9)

i.e Area of traingle DEF=96cm^2

Hence,

Area of DEF= 96cm^2
