For similar triangles

( \frac{BC}{EF} )^{2}  =  \frac{Ar∆ABC}{ Ar∆DEF}

( \frac{3}{4} )^{2}  =  \frac{54}{Ar∆DEF}

Ar∆DEF =  54 \times \frac{16}{9}

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  {96cm}^{2}
