∆ABC -∆DEF such that AB 9.1 cm and DE = 6.5 cm. If the perimeter of ∆DEF is 25 cm, then what is the perimeter of ∆ABC ?

Answer

Given, ∆ABC ~ ∆DEF

 \frac{perimeter of ∆ABC}{perimeter of ∆DEF} =  \frac{AB}{DE}

{ the ratio of the perimeters of two similar triangle is the same as the ratio of their corresponding sides}

Let R be the perimeter of ∆ABC

\small{Then,}

 \frac{A}{25} =  \frac{9.1}{6.5}

=  \frac{7}{5}

\boxed{R = 35}
