by pythagorus theorum:-(ab)^2+(bc)^2=(ac)^2
so, (4cm)^2+(3cm)^2=(ac)^2
16cm^2+9cm^2=(ac)^2
25cm^2=(ac)^2
square root 25cm^2 will be 5cm.
