∆ABC is a right angled at A. AD is perpendicular to BC, AB=6cm and AC=8cm find the area of ∆ABC. Also find the length of AD. (Please give the correct answer)​

Answer:

In right angles triangle BAC, AB=5cm and AC=12cm

Area of triangle=21×base×height=21×AB×AC

=21×5×12=30cm2

Now, in ΔABC,

Area of triangle ABC=21×BC×AD

⇒30=21×13×AD

⇒ AD=1330×2=1360cm.
