ABC is a right triangle right angled at b with AB= 3 cm and BC = 4 cm BD is the drawn perpendicular to the hypotenuse AC. Find the length of BD if AC= 5 cm

In my answer "tri" means triangle and 'ang' means angle:
Here we go:
In triABC and triBDC,
angC = angC  (common)
angABC = angBDC =  \frac{ \pi }{2}
So, triABC is similar to triBDC

 \frac{BD}{AB}  =  \frac{BC}{AC}

So, BD =  \frac{3x4}{5} = 2.4
 BD = 2.4
