. ABC is a right triangle with AB = AC. Bisector of A meets BC at D. Prove that ΔCAD ΔBAD

To Prove: △CAD ≅ △BAD

Proof:-

In △CAD and △BAD,

  1. AB = AC (Given)
  2. ∠CAD = ∠BAD (Bisectors of ∠A)
  3. AD = AD (Common side)

∴△CAD ≅△BAD by S - A - S congruence criterion.
