Hi there!

_______________________

Given :

AB = 10 cm.

AC = 8 cm

Angle C = 90°

To find :

Length of side BC.

Solution :

Using the pythagorean theorem ;

AB² = BC² + AC²

⇒BC² = AB² - AC²

⇒BC² = (10)² - (8)²

⇒BC² = 100 - 64

⇒BC² = 36

⇒BC = 6 cm.

Hence,

The length of BC = 6cm.

\underline{\bold{Given:-}}

ABC is a triangle which is right angled at C.

AB = 10 cm

AC = 8 cm

\underline{\bold{To\: find:-}}

length of side BC

\underline{\bold{Solution:-}}

Since, ∆ABC is a right angled triangle.

By Using Pythagoras Theorem

 {AB}^{2} = {AC}^{2} + {BC}^{2} \\ \\ {BC}^{2} = {AB}^{2} - {AC}^{2} \\ \\ {BC}^{2} = {10}^{2} - {8}^{2} \\ \\ {BC}^{2} = 100 - 64 \\ \\ {BC}^{2} = 36 \\ \\ BC = \sqrt{ {6}^{2} }

\bold{\boxed{BC\: =\:6\: cm}}

⭐ hope it may help you⭐
