In this triangle angle C =90
Line AB is hypotenuse which was 25 cm
or line AC was Perpendicular which was 7cm
Therfore
H sq. =P sq. +B sq.
=>25sq. =7 sq. +B sq.
=>625= 49 +Bsq.
=> 625-49 = B sq.
=>√576= B
so Base = 24 cm.

Therefore Base is the line BC =24 cm

In the attached figure ( according to the question ) ,

AB = 25 cm

AC = 7 cm

By Pythagoras Theorem,

( I side )^2 + ( II side )^2 = ( hypotenuse )^2

So,

( BC )^2 + ( AC )^2 = ( AB )^2

( BC )^2 + ( 7 )^2 = ( 25 )^2

( 625 ) - ( 49 ) = ( BC )^2

625 - 49 = ( BC )^2

576 cm =  ( BC )^2

√576 cm = BC

Or , 24 cm = BC
