GIVEN
In an equilateral triangle ABC
AB = 2x-1
BC = y+7
AC = 2y+3
AB = BC = AC

SOLUTION
As BC = AC
y+7 = 2y+3
7-3 = 2y-y
4 = y

By substituting the values...
4+7 = (2×4)+3
11 = 8+3
11 = 11

Then, AB = 2x-1 = 11
2x-1 = 11
2x = 11-1
2x = 10
x = 10/2
x = 5

Hence, x = 5
y = 4

Hope it helps....

Chahat04: so I'm correcting it here only
Chahat04: 2x-1 = 11 => 2x = 11+1 => 2x = 12 => x = 12/2 => x = 6

x = 7
y = 5

Equilateral triangle means same length. Just make a simultaneous equations.
