Given: ABC is an isosceles triangle and ∠B = 90°

To prove: AC^2=2AB^2

In ΔABC, ∠B = 90°

AB = BC        ( ∴ ΔABC is an isoscelles triangle)

Two sides of isoscelles triangle are equal.

Using pythagoreous theorem in right triangle ABC

Sum of square of two side of a triangle is equal to square of third side.

AC^2=AB^2+BC^2

AC^2=AB^2+AB^2               \because AB=BC

AC^2=2AB^2

hence proved
