In isosceles triangle
ab = ac = 10
and
bc = 12
Also in rectangle
pq = rs = y
and qr = sp = x
Thus
in triangle abd
ad^2 = 10^2 + 6^2
= 100 + 36
ad = root 136
= 2 root 34
In isosceles triangle
