Question:

ABC is an isosceles right angled triangle at point C. Then Prove that AB²-2AC.

⭐Given:

  • ∆ABC is a isosceles right angled triangle.

  • m<C=90°

⭐To Prove:

  • AB²-2AC²

⭐Proof:

∆ABC is an isosceles right angled triangle and <C=90°. ............... (Given)

: . AC=BC............................................. (1)

THEN, According to the Pythagoras therom,

AB²=BC²+AC²

: . AB²=AC²+AC²......................... [ from (1) ]

: . AB²= 2AC²

: . AB²-2AC²

Hence, Proved!
