ABC is an isosceles triangle such that AB = AC. D is a point on side AB such that BC = CD. Given BAC = 28o . Find the value of DCA.

The value of Angle DCA is 48 degrees.

1) First, In the triangle ABC We can find Angles ABC and ACB by using Triangle Sum property and  by using AB=BC.

2) Then in the triangle BCD, we can find Angle BDC by using Angle CBD( same as CBA) and by using BC = CD.

3) Then we can use triangle sum property in the triangle BCD, and find Angle DCB.

4) We can Subtract measure of angle DCB from angle ACB to find the Angle ACD which turns out to be 48.
