In ∆ ABE and ∆ ACD -

AB = AC ( Isosceles ∆)

AD = AE ( Given)

angle BAE = angle CAD ( Common).

So, ∆ ABE = ∆ ACD ( By S.A.S Criteria).

Hence ,

BE = CD ( By c.p.c.t )
