∆ABC is right angled at A. AD is perpendicular to BC . If AB=12cm, Find the area of ∆ABC. Also find the length of AD.​

Area of triangle= 1/2×base×height= 1/2×AB×AC

= 1/2×5×12=30²cm

Now, in ΔABC,

Area of triangle ABC= 1/2×BC×AD

⇒30= 1/2×13×AD

⇒ AD= (30×2)/13 = 60/13cm.
