The traingle you have is what you call the right triangle symmetry where there are 3 heights.
If the hypotenuse is splitted into like ad and dc, to get this height, use the formula.
Formula= sqrt ad * bc
= sqrt 9 * 16
= sqrt 144
= sqrt 12
