Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Side Of ∆ ABC

AC = 12 cm

BC = 5 cm

Find :

Length Of AB

Solution :

In right ∆ ABC

AC = 12 cm

BC = 9 cm

By Using Pythagoras theorem

( Hypotenouse) ^2 = ( Base ) ^2 + ( Perpendicular ) ^2

Hypotenouse = ( AB )

Base = ( AC )

Perpendicular = ( BC )

Putting Value By Theorem

( AB ) ^2 = ( AC ) ^2 + ( BC ) ^2

( AB ) ^2 = ( 12 ) ^2 + ( 5 ) ^2

( AB ) ^2 = 144 + 25

( AB ) ^2 = 169

AB = √ 169

AB = 13

The length of AB is 13 cm
