Area of a triangle = 1/2 X b X h

Substituting the value we get 1/2 X 6 X 12

                                                  = 6 X 6

                                                  = 36 cm sq.

Since AB is perpendicular to BC(ABC is a right angled triangle)

High chances of it being parallel and equal to AD

Hence AD = 6cm
