Answer:

as they both are congruent triangles

ab=pq

so pq =5 cm

angle c =angle r (cpct)

angle c 180-120=60 degrees

so angle r is also the same

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

AB = 5 cm

Angle B =40°

Angle A=80°

∆ABC=∆PQR

To find :

PQ

Angle R

Solution :

∆ABC=∆PQR...................Given

AP=PQ............................. c.s.c.t

AB=5cm

Therefore, PB=5cm

In ABC, angle B=40° and angle A=80°

angle B+ angle A+angle C=180°....[sum of all angles of is 180°]

40°+80°+angle C =180°

120°+angle C =180°

Angle C =180°-120°

Angle C=60°............... (1)

∆ABC=∆PQR............given

AngleC=AngleR.......c.a.c.t

AngleC=60............from(1)

Angle R=60°
