we know that the ratio of areas of 2 similar triangles is equal to the square of corresponding sides.
So, area(ABC)/area(PQR)=ABsquare/PQsquare
therefore,
area(ABC)/area(PQR)=1square/3square
area(ABC)/area(PQR)=1:9
So, area(ABC)/area(PQR)=ABsquare/PQsquare
therefore,
area(ABC)/area(PQR)=1square/3square
area(ABC)/area(PQR)=1:9
