Given:
AB=7, (AC-BC) = 1 cm
To find:
(SecC+cotA)
Solution:
1) InΔABC by the Pythagoras theorem
- AB²+BC²=AC²
- 7²+x²= (x+1)²
- 49+ x² = x²+1+2x
- 2x = 48
- x = 24
- BC = 24 cm
- AC = 1+x = 25 cm
2)According to the question,
- SecC + CotA
- AC/BC+ AB/BC
- 25/24 + 7/24
- 32/24
- 4/3
- 1.33
the value of (SecC+cotA) is 1.33
