Answer :

A = 40 RUNS

B = 100 RUNS

C = 75 RUNS

Explanation :

Given ,

  • Number of runs scored by A,B and C in total are 215runs.

  • Ratio of runs scored by A and B is 2:5 respectively.

=> According to the data ,

A + B + C = 215 RUNS

A : B = 2:5

Let, the runs scored by A be 2x , then runs scored by B is 5x.

  • Runs scored by C = 3/4(5x)

 \implies

2x + 5x +  \dfrac{3}{4} (5x) = 215

7x +  \dfrac{15x}{4}  = 215

 \dfrac{28x + 15x}{4}  = 215

 \dfrac{43x}{4}  = 215

x =  \dfrac{215 \times 4}{43}

x =  \dfrac{860}{43}

x \:  = 20 \: runs

Therefore, the value of x is 20runs.

  • Runs scored by A is 2x = 40 runs

  • Runs scored by B is 5x = 100 runs

  • Runs scored by C is 15x/4 = 75 runs.

A = 40 RUNS

B = 100 RUNS

C = 75 RUNS
