Here is your answer

llgm ABCD = llgm PBCQ =16 cm ^2

PCQ= 8cm^2

STEP BY STEP EXPLANATIONS

AD ll BC (opposite side of llgm are ll) -----(1)

AD ll BC (opposite side of llgm are ll) -----(1)PQ ll BC (opposite side of llgm are ll) ------(2)

AD ll BC (opposite side of llgm are ll) -----(1)PQ ll BC (opposite side of llgm are ll) ------(2)From (1) and (2)

AD ll BC

area of llgm ABCD = area of llgm PBCQ------(3)

(same base BC same parallel ADllBC)

ar of PBC = 8cm^2 (given)

ar of llgm PBCQ has 1 digonal PC and 1 digonal make llgm into 2 equal

therefore PBC = PCQ

SO PCQ = 8 cm^2

area of llgm PBCQ = PCQ + PBC

area of llgm PBCQ = 8 + 8

area of llgm PBCQ = 16 cm ^2

From eq. 3

area of llgm ABCD = area of llgm PBCQ

therefore

area of llgm ABCD = 16 cm^2
