ABCD is a parallelogram.A semicircle with centre O and the diameter AB has been drawn and it passes through D.if AB =12 cm and OD is perpendicular on AB, then find the area of the shaded region. (Use pie =3•14)

Area of Quadrant = 1/4×314/100×6×6=28.26 cm square. Area of shaded region = Area of parallelogram - Area of Quadrant Area = 72-28.26Area=43.74 cm square.
