area of parallelogram= base ×height

=DC×AE (DC=AB=16)

=16×8

=128 Cm²

now , area of parallelogram=base × height

128 cm² =AD×CF

128 cm²= AD×10 cm

AD= 12.8 cm

Answer:

AD =12.8 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

See the given diagram.

Given that ABCD is a parallelogram. So, AB= DC and AD= BC.

Also, given that, AE⊥DC and CF⊥AD.

Given , AB =16 cm =DC and AE = 8 cm.

Therefore, area of the parallelogram ABCD = (Base × Height) = DC × AE =16×8 =128 square  units.

Again given that, CF =10 cm.

Now, area of the parallelogram ABCD = (Base × Height) = AD×CF =128 sq. units

⇒AD×10 =128

AD =12.8 cm. (Answer)
