ABCD is a parallelogram, AE is perpendicular to DC &CF is perpendicular to AD.If AB=8cm, CF=10cm, find AD.

Therefore AB=CD=8cm

Now in Triangle DFC,

By using Pythagoras Theorem,

 {cf}^{2} \:  +  {df}^{2}   =  {dc}^{2}

Therefore,

 {10}^{2}  +  {df}^{2}  =  {8}^{2}

Therefore DF we get is 6cm.

A perpendicular bisector divides into two equal parts.

Therefore, AD = 2×6=12cm
