So;in∆ADE :AD = 5cm

AE = 2cm

So , according to Pythagoras Theory=AD sq.=AE sq.+DE sq.

=(5×5) =(2×2)+DE sq.

=25=4+DE sq.

=25-4=DE sq.

=21=DE sq.

=√21cm=DE
