ABCD is a parallelogram and AP and CQ are perpendicular from vertices A and C on diagonal BD
show that
1.)triangle APB congruent to triangle CQD
2.) AP=CQ
for class 9 NCERT chapter 8 quadrilateral exercise 8.1 10th question

in ∆APB and ∆CQD
(CD||AB and BD is the transversal) so
•<1=<2(alternater interior angles)
•AB=CD(opposite sides of ||gm are equal)
•<APB=<CQD(each equal to 90°)
•hence,∆ABP congruent∆CQD(byASA)criteria)

(2) AP=CQ(by c.p.ct)-congruent parts of corresponding ∆)
