SOLUTION:

Since ABCD is a parallelogram. Therefore, AB || DC and AD || BC.

Now, AB || DC and transversal BD intersects them.

∴ ∠ABD = ∠BDC ______[Alternate angles are equal]

→ 12x = 60

→ x = 60/12 = 5

and, AD || BC and transversal BD intersects them.

∴ ∠DBC = ∠ADB

→ 7y = 28

→ y = 28/7 = 4

Hence, x = 5 and y = 4 ___[ANSWER]
