Step. by step explanation...

Firstly ABCD is a parralelogram, so

Area of figure would be B*H

As DE is perpendicular to AC, so Height is 8cm (DE) and the base would be 16cm(AC)...

Now area of parralelogram =8*16 cm= 128cm^2

Now There is an another way to find the area and that is by perpendicular DF and Base BC....

area =b*h

128cm^2 = b*10cm (We have found the area already)

128/10 CM =B (BC)

12.8= base

So the base that is BC is equal to 12.8 cm
