Diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other
Then,
x + y = 9
x - y = 5

Solving it
x = 7    and y = 2

:) Hope this helps!!!!!

nitthesh7: if it is most helpful mark it as brainliest
ruhi721: hey... could uh plse conform this ans.. bcoz after solving this equation we get x =7 nd y=2
ruhi721: plse check it... nd tell me?? :)
nitthesh7: sorry
nitthesh7: Ive taken x-y=4 instead of x-y=5
ruhi721: yeah it all rhgt.. thanks
nitthesh7: tq for ur correction

(x+y) = 9cm ...............eq¹
(x-y) = 5cm .............eq²

On subtracting eq¹ and eq²

x+y = 9
x-y = 5
(-) (+) (-)
----------------------------
2y = 4
y = 4/2
= 2
On substituting the value of y in eq¹
x+y = 9
x +2 = 9
x = 9-2
= 7
The value of x= 7cm
Value of y = 2cm
