Given : Abcd is a parallelogram .L and m are points on AB  and DC

To prove :  LM and BD bisect each other

Explanation:

Let LM and BD intersect at O

AL = CM and

AB = cd

therefore , AB-AL = CD -CM

thus BL = DM ..(1)

in triangle OMD and OLB

\angle MOD = \angle BOL (v.o.a)

\angle OMD = \angle OLB

DM = BL

therefore

\bigtriangleup OMD \cong  \bigtriangleup OLB

thus , OM =OL and OD = OB (by cpct)

therefore , O bisects the LM and BD

thus , LM and BD bisect each other

hence proved
