AbcD is a parallelogram. P is any point on CD . if area of triangle DPA=15cmsquare and area of triangle APC is equal to 20cmsquare then area of triangle APB is equal to ???

area(△ADC)     = area(△ADP) + area (△APC)

                           = 15 + 20

                          = 35cm2  

But,

  area(△APB)   = 1/2 (area of parallelogram ABCD)

   = 1/2[2 (area of △ADC)]    

   [ As diagonal divides a parallelogram into two equal areas)

   = 1/2 x 2(35) = 35 cm2
