that ar(OAB) = 1/4 ar(ABCD)

as in the parallelogram we have

O is the midpoint.

OAB = OBC = OCD = ODA

it gives us ar(ABCD) = 4ar(OAB)

ar(OAB) = 1/4 ar(ABCD)

hence proved
