In the above figure, ABCD Is a Parallelogram .

To find -

What is the value of x ?

Solution -

We know that -

In a Parallelogram , opposite sides are parallel.

So here -

AB is parallel to CD

AD is parallel to BC

Thus ,

Angle D = Angle A

=> Angle A = 3x + 50°

Now ,

Angle A = Exterior Angle B

{ Corresponding Angles }

Hence ,

3x + 50° = 80°

=> 3x + 50° - 50° = 80° - 50°

=> 3x = 30° .

=> [ 3x ] ÷ 3 = [ 30° ] ÷ 3

=> x = 10°

Hence, the required value of x is 10 degrees.
