ABCD is a quadrilateral and P,Q,R,S are the midpoints of sides AB,BC,CD and DA respectively. If BD is 12cm, then find (QR+SP)

Given Quadrilateral ABCD And P, Q, R, S are mid points as shown in diagram

In Δ ABD   S and P are the mid points

Therefore by Mid point theorem: If we join the mid point of two sides of a triangle then this line is parallel to the third side and it is half of the third side

\therefore SP = \dfrac{1}{2} \times DB= \dfrac{1}{2} \times 12 = 6 cm

Similarly In Δ ABD

QR = \dfrac{1}{2} \times DB= \dfrac{1}{2} \times 12 = 6 cm

Therefore QR + SP = 6+6 = 12 cm

Hence, QR + SP is 12 cm
