ABCD is a quadrilateral in which diagonal AC = 84 cm; DL parellel AC, BM parellel AC, DL = 16.5 cm and BM = 12 cm. Find the area of quadrilateral ABCD.

Step-by-step explanation:

area of triangle adm = 1/2×b ×h

1/2×24×7=84sq cm

area of triangle abc = 1/2×b×h

=1/2×24×8=96sq cm

therefore area of quadrilateral abcd=a(adm)+a(abc)

=84+96

=180sqcm
