ABCD is a rectangle and BD is one of its diagonals.if ar(abd)=8cm square,find ar(bcd).

In Δabd and Δbdc,
     
        BD is common
        ∠DAB =∠BCD=90°
        AB=DC (opp. sides in a rectangle)
       
         by RHS congruency,
         Δabd is congruent to Δbcd
       
      Then their areas are equal so,ar(abd)=ar(bcd)
     therefore ar(bcd)=8 cm sq.
