Answer:

Correct question :-

ABCD is a rectangle whose diagonals

are (2r + 6cm) and (3r+4) cm. Find the

value of r and the length of the diagonals.

Given :-

ABCD is a rectangular whose diagonals are

(2r + 6) and (3r + 4).

To find :-

Length of diagonals and value of r.

Solution :-

It's a rectangular therefore diagonals must be equal.

Using this approach,

2r + 6 = 3r + 4

6 - 4 = 3r - 2r

2 = r

Thus, value of r is 2.

And putting this in given diagonals we get ;

• 2r + 6 = 10cm

• 3r + 4 = 10cm

Value of r is 2 and length of each diagonal is 10cm.
