Given:-

  • ABCD is a Rectangle.
  • Point B = (12,0)
  • Point C = (12,5)
  • Point D = (0,5)

To Find:-

  • The length of one of its diagonals.

Solution:-

Diagonals of Rectangle ABCD are AC & BD

\boxed{\sf{Distance\; between\;two\;points = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)²+(y_2-y_1)²}}}

→\;{\sf{BD = \sqrt{(0-12)²+(5-0)²}}}

→\;{\sf{BD = \sqrt{(-12)²+(5)²}}}

→\;{\sf{BD = \sqrt{144+25}}}

→\;{\sf{BD = \sqrt{169}}}

→\;{\sf{BD = \sqrt{13²}}}

→\;{\red{\bold{BD = 13}}}

  • Length of one of it's diagonal is 13 units.
