Answer: Area of parallelogram = 91 sq- cm

Solution:

Given that :ABCD is a rectangle with length AB = 13 cm and breadth CB = 7 cm

Since angles of rectangle are right angles, since breadth of rectangle is the perpendicular distance between side AB and CD

so, point D is only pushed to form a parallelogram, that means new figure so formed lie on same base and between the same parallels.

According to that theorem area of Rectangle = Area of Parallelogram

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

= 13 × 7 sq-cm

= 91 sq-cm

So area of parallelogram = 91 sq-cm

Hope it helps you.
