ABCD is a rhombus with one diagonal equal to 18cm. And length of each side equal to 15cm. Find the length of the other diagonal and area of rhombus.

The side of the rhombus = 15 cm,

The rhombus is formed of 4 right angled triangles, whose hypotenuse = 15 cm and one side is 18/2 = 9 cm. The other side of the RAT = [15^2–9^2]^0.5

= [225–81]^0.5 = 144^0.5 = 12 cm.

The other diagonal of the rhombus = 2*12 = 24 cm.

The area of the rhombus = 24*18/2 = 216 sq cm.
