Answer:

\text{Area of rhombus is }216 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given ABCD is a rhombus with one diagonal equal to 18 CM and length of each side to 15 CM.

we have to find the length of the other diagonal and area of rhombus

As all sides of rhombus are equals are its diagonals bisect at right angle.

AB=BC=CD=DA=15 cm.

BO=\frac{1}{2}BD=\frac{1}{2}\times 18=9cm

In right angled triangle BOC

By Pythagoras theorem

BC^2=OB^2+OC^2

OC^2=BC^2-OB^2

OC^2=(15)^2-(9)^2=144

OC=12cm

AC=2\times OC=2\times 12=24cm

Area=\frac{1}{2}\times d_1\times d_2

       =\frac{1}{2}\times 18\times 24=216 cm^2

\text{Area of rhombus is }216 cm^2
