ABCD is a square. In the square there are red tiles and yellow tiles. Red tiles are among the diagonal. Dimensions of red tiles are 4×4cm and dimensions of yellow tiles are 1×1cm. If red tiles are 61,then find the number of yellow tiles

Answer:

area of 61 red tiles = 976 cm square

area of one yellow tile =1cm square

For a  square a square number must be its area . the nearest and greater square number of 976 is 1024 (square of 32).

so still we need 48cm square to get the square number 1024.

area of yellow tile =1cm square

area of 48 yellow tile will be 48 cm square

now we get the area of the square as a square number 1024.

thus the number of yellow tile will be 48
