iArea of square= side square
1=side square
1m = side

According to the figure
Area of triangle PQD= Area of square - ( area of triangle DPA +QDC + PBQ)

Area of PBQ = 1/2 × B × H
= 1/2 × .5 ×.5= 0.125m square

Area of triangle QCD= Area of triangle PAD
=1/2 × B × H
=1/2 × 1 ×.5
=.25m square

Area of triangle PQD= 1-(.125+.25+.25)
=1-0.625
=.375m square
=3/8m square
