*find area of one circle and subtract from square area:-

4 quadrants make one circle

area of square -14²=196cm²

area of circle -πr²=22/7×7×7;
22×7(because 7 divides 7)=
154cm²
area of shaded region =196-154=42cm²

hope it helps you dear mate! ***

Here is your answer.

Given:

Side of Square = 14m

With each vertex as center, circles are formed of radius 7m

To find:. The area of the shaded portion

1 Circle = 4 quarter circles

1 quarter circle is at every point

= 4 points = 4 quarter circles

Therefore,. We have to find the area of a circle of radius 7m.

Area of shaded portion = Area of Square - Area of Circle

 = {(side)}^{2}  -( \pi {r}^{2} ) \\  \\  = (14) {}^{2}  - ( \frac{22 \times 7 \times 7}{7} ) \\  \\  = 196 - 154 \\  \\   = 42 {m}^{2}
Therefore, Area of shaded portion is 42 {m}^{2}
