ABCD is a square of side 14cm and AED and CEB are semi circle as shown in the figure . Find the area of the shaded region​

area of the square ABCD = side² = 14×14 = 196 cm²

area of 2 semicirles = 2(1/2×πr²)

= 2(1/2×22/7×7²)

= 2(1/2×22/7×49)

= 154cm²

now, area of the shaded portion = 196-154 = 42cm²
